Miss Vernia Elizabeth White

Miss Vernia Elizabeth White, 80, of Dobson entered the Portals of Heaven at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home on Thursday, March 15, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Yadkin County on March 22, 1931 to the late Hubert and Cora Ellen White White. Mrs. White was a retired CNA and a member of Union Cross Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving devoted sisters, with whom she spent her life, Neonia White and Maxine White of the home; several nieces and nephews and a very special nephew and caregiver, Hoover White, Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Nichols and four brothers, Rufus, Hoover, Sr., Montgomery and Sandy White. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Union Cross Baptist Church cemetery by Rev. Marty Reece with burial to follow. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for their loving compassionate care.
