Mitchell Gene Bowman

Mr. Mitchell Gene Bowman, 77, of Mount Airy, passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson on Saturday October 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Patrick County on February 1, 1945, to the late Lewis Gaston Bowman and Glennis Quesinberry Bowman.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be truly missed.  Poppin was a truck driver for Krispy Kreme for several years.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Christine “Chris” Culler Bowman; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kendel and Antonio Heraldo, and Tracie Reece; three grandchildren, Jonathan Heraldo, Dakota Cruz, and Micaela Cruz; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Julia Ann Shelton, and Janet and Dillard Nester; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Gary and Lunell Bowman, Phillip and Maxine Bowman, Ronnie and Deborah Bowman, and Lillian Bowman; his special fur baby, Precious; special family friend, Michael Chumley; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Bowman, and Gary Lee Gibbons; and a granddaughter, Erika Evans; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lyle and Karen Bowman and Richard Bowman; and a brother-in-law, James Gray Shelton.  Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 11:00AM at the Culler Family Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Boyd officiating.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Bowman family.
