Mittie “Daphne” Stanley Rogers

Mrs. Mittie "Daphne" Stanley Rogers, 57, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Golden Living Center. She was born November 1, 1952, in Yadkin County, to the late Clifton Benjamin and Hallie Elizabeth Hester Stanley. She was employed at UNIFI and was a member of Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church in Princeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Raylene Wood. Surviving are a daughter and her fiancé, Mary Elizabeth Linville and Chad Blanton of Clemmons; a stepdaughter, Robin Smith of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, James Eric and Amy Linville of Mount Airy; three grandchildren, John "L.J." Smith, Clifton Gregory Linville, and TK Largen; three stepgrandchildren, Mackenzie Cockerham, Taylor Cockerham, and Olivia Cockerham; a very special niece, Billy Jo Wood; a very special nephew, Eddie Rogers III; four nephews, Ben East, Greg East, Cliff Wood, and Jamie Johnson; three very special great nieces, Hallie Johnson, Emma Johnson, and Natalie East; a very special great nephew, Nate East; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Maxine and Bobby Ray Johnson of Princeton; a brother-in-law, Bill "Daddy Bill" Wood; a special friend, Faye Moore; feline companion, Garfield "fat cat"; and a very special puppy, Katie Mae. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 4, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lee Johnson, the Rev. Butch Holder, and the Rev. Roger Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from noon until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday July 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Lee Johnson, Rev. Butch Holder and Rev. Roger Banks will officiate the services. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 4,2010 from 12:00 noon until time of her service at 2:00 P.M.
