Moises Diaz Santiago

Mr. Moises Diaz Santiago, 55, of Dobson, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. He was born November 25, 1954, in Oaxaco, Mexico, DF, to Gustavo Santiago and the late Carmen Diza Santiago. He was formerly employed by Kentucky Derby Hosiery and was of the Catholic faith. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 24 years, Janice Simmons Santiago of the home; a daughter, Missy Phillips of Elkin; a son, Robert J. Walsh of Hamptonville; his father, Gustavo Santiago; four granddaughters; four sisters, Elda Santiago, Leticia Santiago, Araceli Santiago, and Magnolia Santiago; and three brothers, Ramiro Santiago, Rene Santiago, and Victor Santiago. In addition to his mother, Mr. Santiago was preceded in death by a brother, Eradio Santiago. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 21, 2010, from 11:30 to 12:00 pm at Devine Redeemer Catholic Church of Boonville with the funeral service to follow. Burial will follow in the Second Chance Cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Santiago family.
