Monroe Bill Willard

Mr. Monroe Bill Willard, 69, of 341 Long Branch Road, Claudville, VA, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Willard was born April 19, 1941, in Rockingham County, son of the late Harry Moyer Willard, Sr. and Essie Virginia Lankford Willard. He is survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law, Irene Thompson of Mount Airy, Katy Childress of Stuart, VA, and Darlene and Lonnie Bradshaw of Stokesdale; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ernest and Darlene Willard of Claudville, VA, Harry Moyer and Tammy Willard of Belews Creek, Freddy and Shelby Willard and Johnny Willard, all of Stuart, VA, and Bobby Willard of Yanceyville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willard was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene Willard; and two brothers, David Moyer Willard and Jerry Willard. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be in charge of the cremation and arranging the burial to take place in Stokesdale beside his parents. There are no local services planned.
