Miss Montana Dawn Hodges, 26, of Claudville, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Miss Hodges was born on August 9, 1996, in Surry County to the late Jonathan Michael Hodges and Melissa Hazelwood Barbour. Montana was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her two children, Giana Grace “G G” Marshall, Branson Dale Hodges; a brother, Jackson Douglas-Sanders Barbour; her mother and stepfather, Douglas A and Melissa Hazelwood Barbour; maternal grandparents, Vicky Shockley and Ricky, Ronnie Hazelwood and Renita; paternal grandmother, Nelda Faye Hodges, special friend and father of her daughter, James Marshall; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Miss Hodges is preceded in death by her father, Jonathan Michael Hodges; paternal grandparents, William “Mack” Hodges, Douglas Taylor and Laverne Cox Barbour; and Aunt Christine Brown. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM in Mount Airy with Rev. Joe Lambert and Michael Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
