Monty Payne

Mr. Monty Lloyd Payne, 60, of Mt. Airy, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center, Thursday, March 4, 2021.  He was born in Surry County, October 1, 1960 to Jacquelyn “Jackie” Bobbitt Payne and the late Dwight Lloyd Payne.  Mr. Payne worked with stucco and drywall for many years.  He loved being outside whether it was taking a walk or just listening to music.  He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Jackie Payne; “Daddy’s Special Girl” Zoey; his girlfriend, Lynn Millard; sisters, Melinda Payne, and Makaila Payne; a brother, Marty Payne; a niece Madison; a nephew Andrew.  In addition to his father, Mr. Payne was preceded in death by a sister, Revonda Payne.
