Mr. Morris Keith Goins, age 62 of Germanton, went to be with his Lord and Savior early Tuesday morning February 4, 2025, from Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. He was born July 21, 1962, in Davidson County to the late Cecil and Diana Russell Goins. He was a truck driver for over 33 years for Hardy Brother’s Trucking and H and W Trucking. Mr. Goins proudly served our country in the US Navy and was a member of Harvest Time Church of God. Pawpaw loved to sing in church with his lil buddy Kasyn. Morris is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rhonda Elaine Draughn Goins; 3 children, Kristina (Chris) Pozo, Andrea (Nick) Booth, and Brandon (Heather) Goins; 12 grandchildren, Christopher (Hannah) Butera, Destiny (Caleb) Peters, Kaitlyn Butera, Lydia Wood, Nate Booth, Madisen Booth, Arren Booth, Emersen Booth, Peyton Goins, Audrina Goins, Danica Goins, and Braylen Wallace; 3 great grandchildren, Pawpaw’s lil buddy, Kasyn Butera, Magnolia Peters, and Maelyn Butera; 3 siblings, Debbie Eller, Tammie (Frankie) Wilburn, and John (Jane) Goins and their daughter, Alexis; his extended family, Maegen, Ryan, Lucas, Lyndy, and Scarlett Pack, and Kevin, Tina, and Katelyn Hooker; and by several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by his lifelong friend, Jeff Mitchell. Funeral services will be held for Mr. Goins on Saturday February 8, 2025, at 11:00am in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor Rob Sizemore and Pastor Albert Everidge officiating. Burial will follow in the Leftwich Family Cemetery off of Bear Trail in Cana, VA. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00am. The Goins family would like to thank Hardy Brother’s Trucking and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for all of the love and support shown to Morris and the family during his illness. Pawpaw said, “I’ve seen the gates at Graceland, now I’m ready to see the gates of Heaven”. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
