Mr. Alfred Delano

Mr. Alfred Delano "Butch" Dalton, age 65 of Laurel Meadows, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. He was born in Patrick County on March 8, 1945 to the late Charlie and Ruby Boyd Dalton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Dalton.
Mr. Dalton is survived by three brothers, Elmo Dalton and Charles Dalton, both of Meadows of Dan, and Bill Dalton of Greensboro, North Carolina; and four sisters, Jeannie Vincenti and Almeda Mullins, both of Meadows of Dan, Janet Martin of Stuart, and Linda Flippen of Meadows of Dan.
A graveside service for Mr. Dalton was held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at the Dalton Family Cemetery with Rev. J. R. Vipperman officiating. Pallbearers were Elmo Dalton, David Boyd, Allen Flippen, Joseph Martin, Jamie Martin, Jeannie Vincenti and Bonssi Vincenti. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart was in charge of the arrangements.
