Mr. Arch Andrew "Andy" Baldwin

Mr. Arch Andrew “Andy” Baldwin age 74 of Mount Airy, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Mr. Baldwin was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on December 18, 1940, son of the late David Preston Baldwin and Jennie Brewster Baldwin. Surviving are two daughters, Annette Jones and husband David, of Mount Airy and Kim Kirk and husband, Joe of Independence, VA and a son, Phillip Baldwin of Claudville, VA; five grandchildren, Danielle Wilson and husband Chris, Miranda Jones, Nathaniel McMillian, Scott Baldwin and Amber Kirk; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Freeda Baldwin of Newhall, WV, Authur and Flora Baldwin of Efland, NC, and Sandy Baldwin of Berwind, WV; six sisters, Mary Bauguess of King, NC, Lou Tannery of Winston Salem, NC, Lucille Weaver of Winston Salem, NC, Becky Muncy of Argillite, KY, Bernice Gillespie of Pounding Mill, VA, and Izona Simpson of Pounding Mill, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Matthews Baldwin; one brother, Fred Baldwin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jimmy Slate with burial to follow in the Culler Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to all that assisted with his care and compassion throughout his illness.
