Mr. Arthur Franklin Scott

Mr. Arthur Franklin “Hobb” Scott, age 85 of Ararat, VA., passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Landmark Nursing Center. Mr. Scott was born in Surry County on August 7, 1931 to Walter Franklin and Sadie Pack Scott. He retired from Mount Airy City School System after many years of dedicated service. Surviving is his wife, Pearly McBride Scott; a son, Zyndall Scott; grandchildren, Mandy Snider, Dana Snider and Pasidee Craft. In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his daughters, Rita Scott, Donna Scott and Amy Craft. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM, Monday, December 19, 2016 at Highland Park Baptist Church by Dr. Darrell Tate. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
