Mr. Benny Albert Snow

Mr. Benny Albert Snow, age 56, of Thurmond passed away at his home on Saturday morning September 17, 2011. He was born in Surry County on July 10, 1955 to the late Ervin Albert Snow and to Joyce Cave Snow Nance. He was retired from Chatham Manufacturing in Elkin and was a member of Knobb Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Nancy Harris Snow of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Angel and James Shores of State Road, Rebecca and Joshua Colbert of Elkin; by five grandchildren Joel A. Lane, Daniel L. Shores, Taylor Colbert, Emma Colbert, and Carly Colbert; his mother and step father Joyce Snow Nance and McKinley Nance of State Road, two brothers and sister-in-law Teddy and Janet Snow of Elkin, and Jeffery Snow of State Road. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday September 19, 2011 at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Rev. Tony White and Rev. Danny Royal will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church on Monday September 19, 2011 from 1:30 P.M. until time of the service at 3:00 P.M. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Snow family.
