Mr. Bernard Posey Setliff

Mr. Bernard Posey Setliff, age 69 of Martinsville, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on August 27, 1939 to the late Posey and Elsie Brammer Setlilff. In addition to his parents, Mr. Setliff was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Ingram Setliff; an infant daughter; and one half brother, Alton Moran.
Mr. Setliff is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rachel Setliff Donley and Jay of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bernard Randy Setliff of Stuart and Rodney Dale and Brenda Setliff of Stuart; five grandchildren, B.J. and Eric Donley and Elizabeth, Frances and Lee Setliff; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Nathan Donley; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Gatha and Joe Lankford of Claudville, Etta and Gene Brogan of Bassett, Betty and Ronnie Clifton of Ridgeway, and Mary and Lloyd Harbour of Stuart, two brothers, Glayton Setliff of Patrick Springs and Earvin Setliff of Collinsville; and one half sister, Ilene Ferguson of Henry.
Funeral services for Mr. Setliff will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Fairystone Baptist Church with Pastors Ronald Peal and Jim Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
