Mr. Billy Amos Dalton, 81 of Stuart, passed away Friday at his Home after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 9, 1931 in Patrick County to the late Abe Ester and Sue Elzie Haley Dalton. Mr. Dalton Served in the Navy during the Korean War, worked in maintenance for the Patrick County School System for over twenty years, was the owner operator of Country Crafts Wood Working in Stuart and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.
Other than his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas H. Dalton and four sisters; Sallie Simmons, Margaret Simpson, Zelma Foley and Elsie Spence.
Surviving Mr. Dalton is his wife, Rachel Hundley Dalton of the home; two daughters; Susan Dalton and husband Darrell of Stuart, Christi Edwards of Stuart, two grandchildren; Maggie and Jacob Edwards of Stuart and a brother, James H. Dalton of Walnut Cove, N.C..
Funeral services for Mr. Dalton will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday March 3, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Lowell Hopkins officiating. The Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard will do a Flag presentation. Burial will be in the Russell Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Patrick County Community Food Bank, P.O.
