Mr. Bobby Joe "Hodge" Hodges

Mr. Bobby Joe “Hodge” Hodges age 72 of Lowgap, NC, passed away Saturday morning April 23, 2016 at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab of Clemmons. Mr. Hodges was born in Surry County on October 5, 1943 to the late Elmer Woltz Hodges and Mary Ella Flinchum Hodges. Mr. Hodges is survived by two daughters, Sandy Hodges and Shelia Makas both of Advance; six grandchildren, Kristopher Hodges, Nathan Hodges, Jerry W. Makas, Jr., Brooke Makas, Kristina Hodges, and Karlee Hodges; three great-grandchildren Brianna Hodges, Ryleigh Hodges, and Braydn Hodges; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Charles Taylor of Lowgap, Faye Comer of Dobson, and Mary and Gary Snow of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy R. and Shelby Hodges of Lowgap; a special friend, Faye Simmons; and many more friends and family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Randal “Randy” Hodges; and a brother-in-law, Delmore Comer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Elder Arwood Edwards officiating with burial to follow in the Beulah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:00 until 2:00 PM. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab for all of the love and tender care shown to Mr. Hodges during his stay.
