Mr. Bobby Nolen

Mr. Bobby Nolen, age 73 of Memory Lane, Stuart, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County, Virginia on January 10, 1937 to the late Andy Governor Crockett Nolen and Lucy Ann Via Nolen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Mound, Tommy, and Lonza Nolen, an infant sister, and three sisters, Gracie Penn, Nancy Smith and Corine Helms; and a step-son, Kevin Murray. He had been a foreman for Ashland Oil Company, and attended Pleasant Ridge Holiness Church.
Mr. Nolen is survived by his wife, Dolores Collins Nolen of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Angelia and Jeffrey Patterson of Twinsburg, Ohio; two sons, Robert Nolen of Seattle, Washington and Lawrence Nolen of Olmsted Township, Ohio; two step sons and daughters-in-law, Robin L. and Deidre Murray of Cleveland, Ohio and Scott and Charlotte Murray of Euclid, Ohio; five grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie Woods of Bassett and Ruth Cromwell of Martinsville; a twin brother, Billie Nolen and his wife, Gloria, and a brother, Johnnie Nolen, all of Hardy, Virginia.
Funeral services for Mr. Nolen will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Richard Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Crockett Nolen Memorial Circle Family Cemetery on Ridge Road, Woolwine. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
