Mr. Bobby Ray Scearce

Mr. Bobby Ray Scearce, age 59 of Patrick Springs passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on April 19, 1949 to the late Emory C. and Pauline W. Stegall Scearce. In addition to his parents, Mr. Scearce was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Scearce. He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church and had worked as a custodian at Patrick County High School.
Mr. Scearce is survived by one sister, Peggy Thompson of Patrick Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Wanda Scearce of Woolwine; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Scearce will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Family Cemetery with Rev. Bernard Handy officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the Ben Williams homeplace, 55 Williams Lane, Stuart, Virginia.
