Mr. Buren Wayne Perdue

Mr. Buren Wayne Perdue, age 72 of Stuart, Virginia, finally made his way home to the Father whom he loved dearly, Friday, October 11, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Franklin County on December 17, 1940 to the late Buren C. Perdue and Ernestine Turner Perdue. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber Keen. Wayne had retired from International Paper after 36 years of employment. He was a faithful and devoted member of Harvest Worship Center. He was a hard working provider for his family.
Mr. Perdue is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Stella Spence Perdue of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary Wayne Perdue & Dora Lee of Stuart; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa P. Keen & Danny of Patrick Springs and Laurie P. Justice and Jerry of Patrick Springs; seven grandchildren: Thomas Wayne Howell, David Howell, Michelle Cruise, Danny Keen, Donna Harbour, Wayne Sowers and Darrell Sowers; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, four sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Perdue will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor David Coleman and Pastor Ricky Brewer officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Perdue Family Cemetery located at 794 Hill Valley Road, Stuart, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home. Memorial donations may be made to the Harvest Worship Center Building Fund, P.O.
