Mr. Burrell "Coy" Plasters

Mr. Burrell “Coy” Plasters, age 79, of Patrick Springs, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on June 21, 1938 to the late Samuel Plasters and Jessie Mae Howell Plasters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Muriel Hughes, Helen Plasters; and seven brothers, Samuel Jr., Howard, Albert, J.B., R.T., Ralph, and Melvin Plasters. Coy had retired from Fieldcrest Mills after 27 years of service and attended County Line Church of God of Prophecy. He loved farming and raising cattle.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara Wright Plasters of the home; one daughter, Jessie Lea Plasters of Patrick Springs; four sisters, Dorothy DeHart and Lucille Hopkins both of Woolwine, Sadie Spencer of Fieldale, Betty Jean Spence of Patrick Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM at County Line Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jason Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 to 8 at the church.
