Mr. Calvin Leon Queen

Mr. Calvin Leon Queen, age 76, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born January 8, 1942 to the late Willie Lee and Gertrude Chrissman Queen. He was a member of Second Chance Church and was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie Edwards and husband Jurdon, Jancie Harp and husband Chris; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, a sister Rebecca Vass, and a brother Wade Queen. In addition to his parents Mr. Queen was preceded in death by a son, Richard Queen; and four sisters and three brothers. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by the Bro. Joshua Jenkins and Pastor Terry Coe. Burial will follow in the Second Chance Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00–8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
