Mr. Carl Gray Craddock, 70, of Pinnacle passed away Sunday, April 05, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Stokes County on November 9, 1944 to the late Oliver Glenn and Carrie Lou Chaney Craddock. Mr. Craddock was a retired painter and was of the Baptist faith. He served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Kirkman Craddock of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Carrie Ellis of GA, Heather Craddock of Richmond, VA., Cassandra Lynn and Thomas Ellis of Lake Wyle, SC; sons and daughter-in-law, Carl Craddock, Jr. of GA, Jason Wayne and Melissa Craddock of Sanford; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two step-children; two step-grandchildren; sisters, Nellie Smith of Greensboro, Nancy Thomas, Betty Fulk and Marie Baker all of Mt. Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Brenda Craddock of Siloam; several nieces and nephews; two very special people in his life, Adam Bryant and Kristi Gates; his mother-in-law, Wanda Kirkman; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Vickie Flynn. In addition to his parents, Mr. Craddock was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Winthrop Ellis; a sister, Stella Cox; two brothers, Glenn and Thomas Craddock. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Midkiff Family Cemetery with full military honors conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
