Mr. Carl Ray Fain, age 56 of Stuart passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007 in Boone, North Carolina as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Patrick County on August 18, 1950. He was a member of Wayside Community Church. He was a truck driver for Nationwide Homes, and had served in the United States Army. Mr. Fain was preceded in death by his father, James Early Fain.
Mr. Fain is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Ray and Suzanne Fain of Elkin, North Carolina; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela Renee and Brent Belcher of Stuart; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; his mother, Audrey Hodges Fain of Stuart; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James Leon and Shirlien Fain of Stuart and Brian and Doris Fain of Mount Airy, North Carolina; three nephews, Timothy Leon Fain, Kevin Lee Fain and Ronald Wayne Fain; and one niece, Rebecca Lynn Fain.
Funeral services for Mr. Fain will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Bernard Handy officiating. His services will be held in conjunction with the services of his cousin, Richard Lee Hodges, Jr. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home of his mother.
