Mr. Carl Edward Sehen, Sr

Mr. Carl Edward Sehen, Sr., age 80 of Meadows of Dan, Virginia passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Richmond, VA. He was born on April 13, 1936 to the late Berton and Faye Van Sutphin Sehen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harvey, Wesley, Elmer, and John Sehen; and three sisters, Agnes Marie Sehen, Eleandor Young, and Shirley Lott. Mr. Sehen faithfully served his country with the Air Force, and retired after 30 years with Reynolds Metals where he also served as an officer in his union. He was a member of Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #263 and a member and deacon of Meadows of Dan Baptist Church.

Mr. Sehen is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Norma Roman Sehen; a son, Carl E. Sehen, Jr. of Richmond, VA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia Burton (Mike) of Chesterfield, VA, and Marlene Sehen of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Laurel Burton Parker (Brad), Virginia Faye Burton, and David Robert Burton; two great grandchildren, Jack and Wyatt Parker; a sister, Hazel Martin of Bassett, VA and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Sehen will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00pm at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church with Pastor Shawn Carter officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Knowles-Eden Cemetery. The Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #263 will conductMasonic Rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Knowles-Eden Cemetery Fund, 65 Hall Harbour Road, Bassett, VA 24055, or to Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Building Fund, 2511 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Meadows of Dan, VA 24120.
