Mr. Charles W. Anglin

Mr. Charles Walter Thomas Anglin, age 82 of Woolwine passed away Saturday evening at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born on March 8, 1927 in Patrick County to the late Walter and Nina Cox Anglin. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Freeda Compton Anglin; one son, Bruce Anglin; one sister, Iris Via; and three brothers, Bing, Polo, and Arko Anglin. Mr. Anglin served in the U.S. Army, was the owner/operator of the Snack Bar Restaurant in Woolwine, was also the owner/operator of C.W. Anglin Insurance Services, and a former real estate agent in Patrick County.
Surviving are his son, Eugene Anglin and wife, Sandra of Woolwine; and three grandsons, Dale Anglin and wife, Laura, Chip Anglin, and Wally Anglin and wife, Mia.
There will be a graveside service held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Woolwine Cemetery with Pastor Jack Hyde officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 1:30 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
