Mr. Charles Ray Dollyhite

Mr. Charles Ray Dollyhite went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 2, 2017. Mr. Dollyhite was born in Surry County to the late Lacy and Hester Pike Dollyhite on May 18, 1939. His wife Jacqueline Lankford Dollyhite of the home survives him. Additional survivors include two daughters: Teresa and Les Adams of Statesville and Shannon and Bill Hall of Mount Airy. A brother Franklin (Frances) Dollyhite, two sisters Bonnie (Bobby) Lambert, and Patty Dollyhite, all of Mt. Airy, survive Mr. Dollyhite. His sister Angie (Burton) Jessup predeceased Mr. Dollyhite. It was Charles’s goal to introduce as many people as possible to God. Within five minutes of meeting him, he was telling you about Christ and the plan of salvation. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at New Venture Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Thomas and Rev. Stewart Mauck. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or New Venture Baptist Church.
