Mr. Charles "Charlie" Gray Golding

Mr. Charles "Charlie" Gray Golding, age 76, of Elkin, NC a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a friend to everyone he met passed away February 7, 2016. He was born on January 21, 1940 to the late Dock Golding and to Allie Flippen Golding. He was a retired teacher, coach, driver education instructor, and a member of the Dobson Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife Judith Coulter Golding of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Charliece and Clee Jones of Garner, NC; one son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Ashley Golding of Jefferson, NC; three grandchildren Clee Grady Jones III, Coulter Grace Jones, and Lydia Grae Golding; his mother Allie Flippen Golding of Lowgap; six sisters and four brothers-in-law Mondell Lawrence of Dobson. Connie Barnes of Lowgap, Rachel and Roger Gentry of Chapin, SC, Shyrell and Bob Boyette of Mt. Airy, Lou and Don Beane of Dobson, Lillar and Carl Hayes of Lowgap; six brothers and five sisters-in-law Dub and Peggy Golding of Lowgap, Leon Golding of Lowgap, Artis and Jean Golding of Mt. Airy, Harold and Trudy Golding of Hillsville, Va, Joe and Sandra Golding of Boone's Mill, Va, Roger and Nancy Golding of Lowgap. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 10, 2016 at the Dobson Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Golding Family Cemetery. Pastor Ralph Sproles and Bob Parrish will be conducting the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. His body will remain at Moody-Davis until carried to the Church to lie in state 30 min. before the service on Wednesday. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Golding family.
