Mr. Charles Gaylord Veit, III

Charles Gaylord Veit, III, 'Poppee', has passed away. He is preceded by his father, Charles Norman Veit, his mother Miriam Cordilla Stanton Veit, and his wife of 27 years, Mary Sue Vernon Veit. He is survived by his sister Teryl Crockford, and his brothers Thomas Veit, Geoffery Veit, and David Veit. He is survived by daughter Tamara Lynette Veit, daughters by love, Eerin Marie Carroll and Patty Brooks, and chosen children, Amy and Alan Cook. Charles was an exciting man, full of life and laughter, who loved passionately. He launched through his life with vigor and enthusiasm. Most of his career was in sales. He continually challenged and empowered his friends, family, and co-workers to shoot for their dreams and never give up. Charles lived by this creed. In his career and racing, through heart attacks and injuries, he fought through all obstacles with strength and determination. He instilled this on his family and friends. He raised his children to read novels, study and research, work hard, and further their education and goals. But most of all, he taught us that there was nothing we could not do. That we could be, reach, or do anything that we set our minds to. For this we are forever thankful. The family would like to thank everyone for the love and prayers they have shared. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you consider volunteering at a charity of your choice, in his honor. There will be a private service at the family home, with an open service in April, to celebrate his birthday and life.
