Mr. Charles Burgess Jarrell

Mr. Charles Burgess Jarrell age 74 of 193 Jarrell Lane, Mt. Airy, NC passed away Tuesday night, January 31, 2012 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 5, 1937 in Patrick County, VA to the late Ben and Alma Hancock Jarrell. Mr. Jarrell was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired self employed truck driver and was of the Baptist faith, Surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Claudine Eaton, Lacarta, FL, Aleene and Richard Ward, Mt. Airy, three brothers and five sisters-in-law, Joseph Jarrell, Mt. Airy, Frank and Elizabeth Jarrell, Kernersville, Dallas and Dianne Jarrell, Roanoke, VA Jewell Jarrell, Mt. Airy, and Donnis Jarrell, Shelby, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and a son-in-law, Steve Lebeau, Wilmington. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jarrell was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Lebeau and three brothers, Dr. Eric Jarrell, Thomas Jarrell and Arnold Jarrell. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Travis Sechrist.. The family will receive friends 12:30 PM Friday at Moody Funeral Home until time for Mr. Jarrell to be taken to the cemetery for the service and other times at the home of Aleene Ward, 203 Jarrell Lane, Mt. Airy, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 137 Antioch Dr., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
