Mr. Charles McCann

Mr. Charles McCann, 66 of Lowgap, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. McCann was born Surry County on July 16, 1949 to the late William Henry McCann and Ruby Ethel Hiatt McCann. Mr. McCann was in the evergreen business for many years. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Montgomery and husband Montie of Elkin; a son and daughter-in-law, Chad McCann and wife Tori of Lowgap; a granddaughter, Catie McCann of Lowgap; a grandson, Trevor Montgomery of Elkin; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann Anthony and husband Julian of Lowgap; a special great niece, Ashley Anthony; a special friend, Donna Estes; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Hawks McCann. Funeral services will be Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating with burial to follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday April 14, 2016 from 6-8 at the funeral home.
