Mr. Charles Dailey Tolbert

Mr. Charles Dailey Tolbert, 88, of Pilot Mountain, passed away Wednesday, April 04, 2018, at Northern Hospital. Mr. Tolbert was born in Surry County on April 13, 1929, to the late Virgil and Maggie Johnson Tolbert. He was retired from North Point Security Services. Mr. Tolbert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Surviving is his devoted wife of 65 years, Connie Leftwich Tolbert; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Dale Boles; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. David Tolbert and Donna, Michael Tolbert and Shannon; grandchildren, Ashley and Ric Senter, Lauren Tolbert, Chris and Amber Tolbert, Shane and Tiffany Cassell, Tyler and Amanda Cassell; great grandchildren, Elijah Senter, Peyton Senter, Carson Senter, Chloe Senter, Ava Senter, Easton Tolbert, Emma Tolbert, Massey Cassell, Haley Harold, Cy Cassell, Caelyn Cassell; In addition to his parents, Mr. Tolbert was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Lynn Tolbert; a sister, Hazel Byrd; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Carlene Tolbert. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to give a special thank you to the 4th floor staff of Northern Hospital and the staff of Central Continuing Care for the love and care given to Mr, Tolbert.
