Mr. Charles Lynwood Towe

Mr. Charles Lynwood Towe, age 79, of Cana, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at his home. Mr. Towe was born in Carroll County on January 11, 1939, to Robert Edwin and Susie Hiatt Towe. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Towe retired from John S. Clark after 46 years of service and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Effie King Towe; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Trudy Towe; grandchildren, Kristen Towe, Tyler Towe and Cheyenne Towe; great grandson, Camden Barnes; and a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and John Cranford. In addition to his parents, Mr. Towe was preceded in death by sisters, Mabeline Jones, Christine Marsh, Josie Brannock, and Pat Jones; and by a brother, Eugene Towe. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Paul’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:30 until 4:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Give a Kid A Coat Foundation.
