Mr. Charlie Neal Lawson

Mr. Charlie Neal Lawson, age 77 of Westfield, North Carolina passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Wake Forest North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Mr. Lawson was born in Lawsonville, North Carolina on April 21, 1937 to the late Samie and Ruby Woods Lawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Campbell, and Margaret Holt. Mr. Lawson was of the Christian faith and was a very loving and devoted, husband, daddy, and pa.
Mr. Lawson is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Roxie Wilkins Lawson of the home, three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina Holt & husband, James of Westfield, NC, Darlene Atkins & husband, Roger of Sandy Ridge, NC and Debra Holt & husband, Roger of Stuart, VA; a granddaughter, Tracy Ashby; three grandsons, Jamie Holt, Eddie Atkins and Charlie Holt and wife Heather; a great granddaughter, Addyson Holt; a brother, Rufus Lawson of Stuart, VA; five sisters, Mary Overby of Lexington, SC, Alice Hooker of Stuart, VA, Helen Hytlon of Woolwine, VA, Carlene Hylton of Woolwine, VA, Linda Hughes of Stuart, VA and Nina Hylton of Fieldale, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Lawson will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Roger Atkins and Pastor Billy Thomas officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Snow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to American Cancer Society, C/o Charmaine Atkins, P.O. Box 10, Claudville, VA 24076.
