Mr. Clarence "Dick" East

Mr. Clarence Chesterfield "Dick" East, age 92, of Patrick Springs and formerly of Greensboro died on Friday at the Landmark Center in Stuart. He was born in Danville, VA to the late Luther East and the late Sally Frances Shelton East, he was also preceded in death by two brothers Charles and William East. He served in the Navy during WWII. He had been a crane operator for Carolina Steel in Greensboro, NC. and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Mr. East is survived by his wife Helen Rayle East of the Landmark Center, two sons: Clarence Richard East and his wife Patricia of Patrick Springs, VA, Charles F. East and his wife Carol of Greensboro, NC and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One brother: Luther East Jr. of Greensboro, NC.
Funeral services for Mr. East will be Monday, February 25 at 11:00AM at Grace Baptist Church Stuart, VA conducted by Pastor Ted Thisse and Rev Jim Churchwell A graveside service will follow at 3:00PM at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC with full military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 24 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church Bldg. fund at P.O.
