Mr. Clarence William Hopkins

Mr. Clarence William Hopkins, age 91, of Stuart passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on Nov. 23, 1924 to the late Oscar Lee Hopkins and Lillie Belle Craig Hopkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Washburn Hopkins; a son, Keith Hopkins; a grandson, Justin Hopkins; and a brother, Harvey Hopkins. Clarence served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a Supervisor with American Furniture when he retired.

Surviving are a son and two daughters-in-law, Larry and Eva Hopkins of Stuart, Lynn Hopkins of Stuart; four grandchildren, Josh Hopkins, Ryan Hopkins, Casey Vick, Monica Lively; two great grandchildren, Ryder and Axton Hopkins; one brother and sister-in-law, Carson and Norma Hopkins of Eden, NC; a special friend, Minnie Martin of Mt. Airy, NC; and his two special caregivers, Carolyn Lawson and Shelby Willard.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Revs. Danny Redman and Bucky Hunsicker officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Patrick County Chapter, P.O.
