Mr. Clarence William Inman

Mr. Clarence William Inman, age 89, of Elkin, NC passed away on Tuesday January 9, 2018 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born in Stokes County on January 17, 1928 to the late Ellis Inman and the late Ethel Slate Inman. Mr. Inman was the owner operator of Inman Barber Shop for Fifty One Years and retired November 30th, 2017. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Nelson, and Audrey Hall; six brothers, Arthur Inman, Raymond Inman, Lester Inman, Howard Inman, Clyde Inman, and Robert Inman. Surviving are his wife Louise Draughn Inman of the home; sisters and brother-in-law, Rachel Jessup and husband R.W. of Westfield, Arlene Shores of Winston Salem; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2018, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with a private burial to follow. Rev. Tom Parker will officiate the service. The family will receive friends following the funeral service in the visitation room of Moody-Davis Funeral Home. The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Union Cross Baptist Church C/O of Alfred Burton 1813 Twin Oaks Rd. Elkin, NC 28621 or to the Children’s Center of Surry PO Box 692, Dobson, NC 27017.
