Mr. Claude McCormick

Mr. Claude McCormick, age 99 of Stuart passed away Sunday at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on Aug. 27, 1908 to the late Fitzhugh Lee McCormick and Cora Hall McCormick. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Hamm McCormick; one daughter, Marie McCormick; and one brother, Walter McCormick. Mr. McCormick was retired from Lester Lumber Company and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Grace Price of Virginia, Barbara Mays of South Carolina, Ruth Hopkins of Virginia; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 3:30 PM at Patrick Memorial Gardens. There will be no formal visitation. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
