Mr. Clayton Winford Wall, Sr. age 79 of Dobson passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born May 22, 1938 in Surry County to the late Caleb Anderson and the late Susie Anna Coe Wall. He was a Veteran of the US Army and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters; Sherry Lynn Wall and Shannon Melissa Wall; his son and daughter-in-law, Clayton “Clay” Winford and Millette Wall.; grandchildren, Jamie Dale Hunter, Jeremy Scott Hunter, Ryan Johnson, Corey Dalton and Caleb Shelton; a special nephew, Stephen Edmonds; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Jack Sprinkle, Patty Edmonds, and her fiancé, Bobby Ring, Judy and David Reece, Fran and Gary Reece, Mary Quvang and Sandra and Tom Tharp; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Delphia Wall, Robert “R.V.” and Sue Wall and Brent and Melinda Wall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pansy Wall; brothers-in-law, John Quvang and Harlow Edmonds; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Wall. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A graveside service with military rites will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Wall and VFW Post 2019 of Mount Airy conducting the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
