Mr. Clinton Robert Edwards

Mr. Clinton Robert Edwards, age 63 of Cana, passed away Friday July 15, 2016. Mr. Edwards was born on January 11, 1953 in Carroll County to the late Ruben Clinton Edwards and Leota Elizabeth Tate Edwards. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He was retired from Caterpillar Inc. after many years of dedicated service. Mr. Edwards is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Sharon Edwards of Hillsville; two grandsons, Ethan and Emmett Edwards of Hillsville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Ann and Jerry Johnson, Barbara Jo McMillian and Don Marsh, Linda Mae and Michael Goins, and Mary Lea and Paul King all of Mt. Airy; a brother, Jerry Edwards of Cana. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kaye Hawks Edwards. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2016 in the Edwards Family Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tony Holder officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday night, July 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clinton and Linda Kaye Edwards Memorial Scholarship, Wytheville Community College Educational Foundation, 1000 E. Main St., Wytheville, VA 24382.
