Mr. Clyde Perkins "Perk" King

Mr. Clyde Perkins "Perk" King, age 70 of Ararat, VA passed away at Northern Hospital of Surry County on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Mr. King was born on January 2, 1941 to the late Clyde Anthony and Mary Virginia King King. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Boyd's Restaurant in Ararat, VA. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Wilhelm King of the home; two sons, Melvin and Stephen King of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Penny K. and Lester "Marlin" Dalton of Ararat, VA; a special nephew, George A. Trivett of Ararat. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ricky Rogers. Burial will follow in the King Family Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Sunday at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
