Mr. Codell Rabon Inman, 73, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Surry County on September 9, 1938 to the late Millard and Kizzie Haymore Inman. He was a retired brick mason and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Joyce and Gary Overby of King, Kelly Hensley of Mt. Airy; two grandchildren and spouse, Melissa and Tommy Floyd , Rabon Stewart all of King; five great grandchildren, Zack Floyd, Isadonna Hartgrave, Brantly Stewart, Jacob Stewart and Emily Stewart; one great great grandchild, SummerAnn Fowler; two sisters and brother-in-law, Nonnie and Walter Arrington, Kathleen Davis all of Mt. Airy; one brother and sisters-in-law, Roger and Susie Inman, Myrtle Inman, Rachel Inman all of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Easter Inman; a sister, Alene Bingman; five brothers, Vester, Medie, Clarence Bill, Herman and Clifford Inman; a brother-in-law, Pete Davis. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Joyce and Rev. Tommy Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the love and care given to Codell and the family.
