Mr. Coy G. Clifton

Mr. Coy Garland Clifton age 94 of Stuart, formerly of Cherry Creek Road Meadows of Dan passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center. He was born on March 5, 1915 in Patrick County to the late Austin M. Clifton and Martha Jane "Mattie" Plasters Clifton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers; Dan Clifton, Bennie Clifton, Posey Clifton, Fred Clifton and Burton Clifton; and four sisters; Callie Wood, Ethel Moore, Lottie Wood, and Goldie Wright.
Mr. Clifton is survived by two sisters; Juanita Gilbert of Martinsville, Virginia and Nettie Lee Turman of Floyd, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19 at 11:00am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Elder John Wingfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Plaster's Cemetery. The family will receive friend Friday evening from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
