Mr. Curtis Clayton Kendrick, Sr., 78, of Patrick Springs passed away Thursday at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born March 14, 1931 in Patrick County to the late Edgar and Trudy Adams Kendrick, he was an Army Veteran of the Korean War had retired from Rubber Thread - J. P. Stevens and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Kendrick was also preceded in death by his first wife; Pauline Bocock Kendrick,two sisters; Louise Deal and Oneida Edwards, four brothers; Dewey, Otha, Paul and Levi Kendrick.
Surviving Mr. Kendrick is a daughter; Hanna Kendrick of Patrick Springs, Six sons and daughter-in-laws; Curtis Clayton Kendrick, Jr. and wife Sherry Lynne of Patrick Springs, Chester R. Kendrick and wife Debbie of Patrick Springs, David L. Kendrick and wife Cindy of Patrick Springs, Freddie Kendrick and wife Denese of Woolwine, Jeffrey L. Kendrick and wife Kim of Patrick Springs, Rodney B. Kendrick and wife Cindy of Patrick Springs, Fifteen grandchildren, Three great grandchildren, Two sisters; Virginia Clark of Patrick Springs, Angie Huffman of Stanleytown and a brother, Wayne Kendrick of Patrick Springs.
Funeral services for Mr. Kendrick will be held Sunday at 2:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with the Rev. Rick Anderson and Rev. Bobby Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Church of God of Prophecy with Military Rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
