Mr. David Wayne Bowman

Mr. David Wayne Bowman, age 51, of Bassett, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County, North Carolina on August 17, 1957 to the late Euel David and Peggy Ray James Bowman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Bowman. He had served in the United States Marines, had been a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Bowman is survived by his wife, Joy Pack Bowman of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Chasity and Milton Foley of Martinsville; one son, Christopher Wayne Bowman of Florence, Colorado; one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Michael Cline of Bassett; and a special maternal grandmother, Minnie R. James of Lenoir, North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Bowman will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Ricky Bowman and Pastor Rudy Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Puckett Family Cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home.
