Mr. Dennis Edward Sheppard

Mr. Dennis Edward Sheppard, age 94 of Lawsonville, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on February 24, 1918 to the late Charlie and Bercie Hall Sheppard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sheppard was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Martin Sheppard; one son, Paul Leonard Sheppard; one brother, Warren Sheppard; and one sister, Elsie Hall. He attended Aaron's Corner Primitive Baptist Church.
Mr. Sheppard is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Shirley Sheppard of Lawsonville; five grandchildren, Myrna Moorefield and husband, Tony, Tammy White and husband, Richie, Kimberly Morton, Cathy Hubbard and husband, Alan, and Anthony Wade Sheppard; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Aaron's Corner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Lowell Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
