Mr. Donald Gray Conner

Mr. Donald Gray Conner, 81 of Woolwine, VA, died Monday February 4, 2008. He was born in Patrick County June 11, 1926 to the late Marion J. and Beulah Idol Conner. He was also preceded in death by three brothers; Ralph, Virgil and Clay Conner.
Mr. Conner was a member of Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from J.P. Stevens and Liberty Fabrics. Surviving is his wife Oneda Belcher Conner of the Home, A daughter Wanda and husband Gene Scearce of Stuart, two sons; Robert and wife Beverly Conner of Stuart and Doug and wife Joyce Conner of Stuart. Four Grandchildren; Tabitha Caine, Jesse Hughes, Bradley Hughes and Nathan Conner; and Two Great Grandchildren; Sara and Jacob Caine. Also surviving are two brothers; Aubrey Conner of Christiansburg, VA and Kenneth Conner of Elliston, VA and two sisters, Avanell Light of Eden, N. C. and Judy Potter of Bassett, VA. Funeral services for Mr. Conner will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Edward Bowman and Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will be at the Church Cemetery with a flag presentation by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.
