Mr. Donald Avery Edwards

Mr. Donald Avery Edwards, age 63 of Woolwine, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Floyd County on June 22, 1944 to the late Avery Jesse and Ellen Gaye Belcher Edwards. He was a member of Fairystone Baptist Church, and was retired from Turbo Sales.
Mr. Edwards is survived by one son, Jerry Edwards of Floyd; two daughters, Brandi Edwards of Woolwine and Linda Nolen of Riner; two grandchildren, Daniel Edwards and Brandon Lawson; one brother, Frank Edwards of Henry; and one sister, Shirley Edwards of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mr. Edwards will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Slate Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
