Mr. Donald Ferguson

Mr. Donald Ferguson, 88, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Raleigh, County WV on February 17, 1927 to the late William Harvey and Mary Eliza Mayes Ferguson Binkowski. Mr. Ferguson was retired from Sara Lee Hosiery and was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Edna Bolen Ferguson of the home; a son, Randal Ferguson of Winston Salem; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and John Oliver of Fredericksburg, VA; a half-sister and husband, Kathy and Alex Chorowiec of Elkton, MD; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by a son, Terry Scott Ferguson; three brothers, Ned, Bill and Dick Ferguson; two half-brothers, Dean and Keith Ferguson. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Elmo Hiatt officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.
