Mr. Donald Grayson Inscore

Mr. Donald Grayson Inscore, 66 of Ararat, VA passed away peacefully Saturday July 30, 2011 surrounded by his family at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Inscore was born in Patrick County to Waneta Gray and the late John D. Inscore. He served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was retired from Westinghouse as a tool and die maker. He is survived by his wife, Linda Inscore of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and T.J. Passut of Roanoke, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Tonya Inscore of Ararat, VA; his mother, Waneta Gray Inscore of Ararat, VA; a brother, William (Bill) Inscore of Sparta; a special aunt, Maxine Inscore Wright of Melbourne, FL. In addition to his father, Mr. Inscore was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Inscore Scott and Jacqueline Inscore Hiatt; a brother, Robert D. Inscore and his beloved pet, Harley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John R. Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in The Bowman Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Susan Hines and all staff of Piedmont-Hematology/Oncology Associates and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, as well as the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for all the care and kindness.
