Mr. Douglas Wayne Conner

Mr. Douglas Wayne Conner, age 50, of Stuart, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011. He was born in Martinsville on April 20, 1961, and was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gray Conner. He had worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation and was a very hard worker. He was a good mechanic and was always working on something.
Mr. Conner is survived by his wife, Joyce Overby Conner; one son, Nathan Douglas Conner and fiancé, Samantha Kendrick, both of Stuart; his mother, Oneda Belcher Conner of Woolwine; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Beverly Conner of Stuart; one sister, Wanda Scearce of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
