Mr. Douglas Clifford Light

Mr. Douglas Clifford Light, age 75, of Stuart passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Pioneer Community Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on September 21, 1941 to the late Clifford Eugene Light and Vergie Clifton Light. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Donice Jean Light Conner, Vivian Light Helms; and a niece, Nancy Jo Cline. Doug was the Owner/Operator of Stuart Tire Center for many years and had retired from Moody Funeral Services. He was a member of Mountain Home Lodge No. 263.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Ellen Rorrer Light of the home; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 at the funeral home.
